WATERWALK
Celebrating the Richness of Waterfront Resources and Wildlife
WATERWALK is designed as a park enhancement celebrating the richness of waterfront resources.
The exhibit is designed to amplify the experience of a walk along the waterfront through engaging graphics and visual explanations about aquatic wildlife and habitats and our relationship with the ocean.
WATERWALK is a permanent exhibit, constructed of durable, weatherproof materials. Installations are located at eight sites along the Southern Brooklyn Park bordering the water side of the Belt Parkway. Each area features a different topic including, local fishes and invertebrates, shipping and navigation, shore birds, plankton and marine food-webs.
The goal of WATERWALK is to provide accessible and relevant information to residents and to inspire park users to understand and care about their waterfront environment
